Structure of a page
At the end of each page, I think we should have an External Links section with bullet points for every external link. We can use Wikipedia pages as a template to see how to structure the pages on the wiki. --antgly (talk) 08:43, 23 June 2012 (UTC)--
- We will do this from now on - following Wikipedia's guidelines[1]. --Administrator (talk) 09:36, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
Manual of Style
I feel that we must follow this: Wikipedia:Manual of Style.
According to the manual of style, whenever the JW leading magazine is mentioned, it should be mentioned as The Watchtower and not simply Watchtower and in italics if in the main body of the body of the page. --antgly (talk) 23:17, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- I agree. Enforce the MoS at your discretion. Actually I think when using the correct Template:Infobox magazine template the name is automatically italicised[2]. --Administrator (talk) 18:34, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
Main Page Minor Issues
I think that in the "In the news" box on the main page, we should put a small header with the date that the news hit the media. --antgly (talk) 21:48, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Sparlock the Warrior Wizard?
What are we? A satire site? I don't think we should have that mention on the main page next to You Can Become Jehovah's Friend. --173.245.52.168 01:45, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- I believe the intent is to say that making the "Become Jehovah's Friend" page is one of the things on the "to do" list. Remember, Become Jehovah's Friend is the official name of the video that introduced Caleb and Sparlock. Are you suggesting we shouldn't talk about this video just because it has practically become a joke and parody of itself? I think it's a valid topic for discussion and something we can at least post some information about. We have to be careful that we don't present it in such a way that we're just making fun of it, but take the topic of the video seriously and dissect it as we're doing with the books / magazines. --SimianFriday (talk) 02:22, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- SimianFriday nailed it - I put it these so people know what it is, as I myself knew Sparlock by name but not what the actual DVD was called - barely anywhere mentioned it. --Administrator (talk) 10:17, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
